I really want to learn the language and learn more about the culture. In looking up names, I learned about the different characters that are taken from the chinese language that are often used in korean names. I've tried finding a general list of these characters and their meanings, but I haven't found anything and don't know if I'm looking in the right places. Can anyone help??|||Have a look at :

http://www.behindthename.com/names/usage鈥?/a>|||hey, i was born%26amp; raised in korea. if you need help, i can always help you thru email :) i enjoy helping people learn my language. first of all, the characters are
銊便劥銊枫劰銋併厒銋呫厙銋堛厞銋嬨厡銋嶃厧 銋忋厬銋撱厱銋椼厸銋溿厾銋°叄
(consonants) (vowels)
they do NOT have meanings. its a whole lot different from chinese and japanese. it looks hard, but once you know it, its gonna be easy as pie!
the thing you got where it says the language is taken from chinese, its kinda true. kiiiiiiiind of. but thats just the pronunciation though. you know that korean letters are written with 2 to 5 alphabets, right? you can email me and i can help. please email me at katetls@yahoo.com and i will be glad to help! :)
